Together, we can bridge school and career
Not every student’s path runs through a four-year college. Many are eager to build, design, repair, create, and contribute right now. What they need is access to opportunity.
Here on the Central Coast, Advanced Manufacturing is one of the fastest-growing sectors, generating $2.31 million in economic impact and supporting nearly 10,000 jobs, with hundreds more projected in the coming years.
The Advanced Manufacturing Apprenticeship Program connects high school students with local industry partners for hands-on learning experiences in high-demand fields. Students gain real-world skills, professional mentorship, and exposure to career pathways that lead directly to high quality jobs right here in our community.
For some students, this is their first time stepping into a professional environment. It is their first time being trusted with responsibility. Their first glimpse of a future that feels tangible and within reach.
When students can see what is possible, everything changes.
“The advanced manufacturing sector on the Central Coast is not just growing—it’s accelerating. This program helps us build the skilled workforce we need, and opens the door for local students to step into meaningful, future-focused careers.”

Our Strategy
In partnership with the district and local employers, the Apprenticeship Program creates structured, supported career pathways for students during high school. Through mentorship, and skills training aligned with regional workforce needs, students graduate with experience already on their résumé.
Employers gain motivated young talent. Students gain clarity, confidence, and practical skills. Our community gains a stronger, more prepared workforce.
With your support, we can expand apprenticeship opportunities and ensure that more students graduate with direction, experience, and a pathway to success.
